Why I Call EU Countries Vassal States of the US
A lot of people wonder what my concern with the EU is because they’re under the belief that the EU is the safest and most free jurisdiction in the world. This may have been true decades ago, but we receive new evidence each day whether regulatory issues or new cases come to light that remind me why the EU is so dangerous. With an authoritarian state you know what you’re getting, usually. But today the lines are blurred and marketing titles like “democracy” do not guarantee upholding privacy laws, let alone human rights and other international law. I’ll end this point on “it depends” and “it’s selective”, on who gets the enjoy freedoms and justice in the EU system. Of course it’s not just the EU that has issues, but it remains a popular place for hosting because of this reputation as being a save haven and this is what makes it so dangerous.
My issues are not at all personal, and there’s no judgment toward my European friends and clients. It’s just IT business and cybersecurity where the EU completely fails by being a vassal of US interests, even in defiance of their own.
This was a shocking recent human rights case ruling that was not covered in any mainstream media but I did find it on the banned in EU, rt.com website:

Is this Lithuania’s first run in with the ECHR over CIA torture?
The ruling on al-Nashiri’s treatment is the third ECHR judgement against Lithuania over its involvement in the CIA torture program. In May 2018, the court ruled state authorities conspired with the CIA and subjected high-profile prisoner Abu Zubaydah to inhuman treatment, sensory isolation, and violation of his fundamental rights to liberty and security. Vilnius was ordered to pay him €100,000 in damages, which he has been unable to collect due to his ongoing detention in Guantanamo Bay. It was just the beginning of Lithuania’s major legal woes over its part in the CIA’s torture program.

The EU doesn’t like this sort of coverage and so of course, it naturally wants to ban one of the few media groups that will write about these issues. This is directly related to IT because Lithuania is an EU member yet it was directly complicit, in violation of its own laws of a secret, CIA black, torture site which dates back to the early 2000s. This obviously predates the current US presidency and runs through multiple EU election cycles. This is why I do not focus on current or past leadership, regardless of leadership the US and EU continue to act in this same manner which is contrary to your business and data sovereignty.
And several other sites are mentioned as being involved in this single case, including Poland and Romania. Doesn’t this “co-operation” sound similar to the CryptoAG issue in Switzerland between the US and Germans?
What is perhaps the most shocking in all of these cases, is that these actions were 100% sanction by these EU countries. It wasn’t done in secret, it was full scale US co-operation that involved torture and other human rights violations. If the EU can be so complicit with the US to setup torture and other clandestine sites on EU soil, and countries use themselves as fronts for CIA intelligence collection, how can you data ever be safe?
These issues in the EU and US are not anomalies, they are the norm in how they operate over a period of decades. If you value your company’s privacy, data and cybersecurity, it’s important to host your servers, cloud and applications outside of the reach of these regions. The laws or reputations are not what count, it is where you can effectively be shielded against the PRISM/Five-Eyes spying apparatus and its tertiary membership.
